Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 14 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 12 teaspoon baking soda
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 34 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips or 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 12 cup chopped pecans
  • 0.75 (16 ounce) jar caramel ice cream topping
  • 3 tablespoons flour

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Combine all crust ingredients, blending well and forming crumbs.
  • Place 1/2 crumb mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch square pan.
  • Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans.
  • Pour caramel mix over top.
  • Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture.
  • Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Chill 1-2 hours, then cut into bars.
