Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 2/3 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 oz. miniature marshmallows (2 c.)
  • 6 oz. semi sweet chocolate pieces (1/2 c.)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Combine margarine, milk, sugar and salt in a heavy pan over medium heat.
  • Bring to a boil, cook around 4 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly (start timing when mixture starts to bubble around edges of pan).
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in marshmallows, chocolate pieces, vanilla and nuts.
  • Stir vigorously for one minute until marshmallows melt and blend.
  • Pour into 8 inch square buttered pan and cool then cut in squares.
