Ingredients
- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 1 can whole corn, drained
- salt and pepper
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1/2 can water
- 1/2 c. onion
- 1/2 c. green pepper
- 3/4 lb. uncooked ground beef
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1/4 can water
- 4 strips bacon
Method
- Place ingredients in 2-quart dish (with tight lid) in the following order:
- uncooked rice, corn (drained), sprinkle salt and pepper; add 1 can tomato sauce and 1/2 can water, onion, green pepper and uncooked ground beef.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper; add 1 can tomato sauce and 1/4 can water.
- Lay strips of bacon (cut in halves) over top.
- Bake in 350° oven for one hour or until bacon is crisp.
