Ingredients

  • 1 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 can whole corn, drained
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 can water
  • 1/2 c. onion
  • 1/2 c. green pepper
  • 3/4 lb. uncooked ground beef
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 can water
  • 4 strips bacon

Method

  • Place ingredients in 2-quart dish (with tight lid) in the following order:
  • uncooked rice, corn (drained), sprinkle salt and pepper; add 1 can tomato sauce and 1/2 can water, onion, green pepper and uncooked ground beef.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper; add 1 can tomato sauce and 1/4 can water.
  • Lay strips of bacon (cut in halves) over top.
  • Bake in 350° oven for one hour or until bacon is crisp.
