Ingredients
- 4 oz. pastry
- apricot jam
- 4 oz. almonds, sliced
- 2 oz. almond paste
- 2 oz. sugar
- 2 oz. margarine or butter
- 1 egg
- juice of lemon
Method
- Cream together the margarine and sugar.
- Beat in eggs.
- Add almonds, paste and lemon juice.
- Use tart pans; cut pastry to fit. Fill each 1/2 full of mixture.
- Bake at 450° for 7 minutes. Reduce to 350°; bake for 30 minutes.
- Dust with sugar.
- On each tart, place dab of jam.
