Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 lb. crushed soda crackers
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cans asparagus (cut spears)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
Method
- Mix crackers and cheese in bowl.
- Beat eggs and add juice from asparagus.
- In large square baking dish, pour a little of the juice-egg mixture to cover bottom.
- Add a thin layer of cheese cracker mixture.
- Layer remaining ingredients as follows:
- 1 can asparagus, 1/2 can mushroom soup and a layer of cracker/cheese mixture (spoon some of the juice-egg mixture over this).
- Repeat, ending with remaining juice-egg mixture.
- Dot with butter and bake at 400° for 30 minutes or until brown.
