Ingredients

  • 1 box croutons
  • 1/8 tsp onion pwdr
  • 8 ounce sharp Cheddar cheese grated
  • 1 dsh freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 8 x Large eggs - (to 9) beaten
  • 2 1/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 c. crumbled or possibly shredded bacon, sausage, or possibly ham

Method

  • Spray a 2-qt casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Spread in the bottom cooked crumbled bacon, sausage, or possibly ham, cut up.
  • Add in croutons and cheese.
  • Mix Large eggs, lowfat milk, and seasonings.
  • Pour over croutons and cheese.
  • Bake at 325 degrees for 55 to 60 min.
  • This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
  • Comments: I do not even remember who or possibly where Belvedere was!
  • This recipe was in an old notebook in my handwriting from my high school Home Economics class in 1959.
  • It has seen endless service.
