Ingredients

  • 10 lbs. green peanuts (unshelled)
  • 1 c. salt

Method

  • Dissolve salt in sufficient water to cover peanuts.
  • Add in peanuts, boil for about 1 hour (covered or possibly uncovered).
  • Test peanuts occasionally.
  • Turn off heat when they get about the consistency you prefer (soft to almost crunchy).
  • Let peanuts soak in water till they are as salty as you like.
  • This may take several hrs.
  • Adjust amount of salt and soaking time to suit your taste.
  • Eat warm.
  • May be frzn in freezer bags.
