Ingredients
- 6 slices bread
- 1 lb. sausage
- 1 1/2 cups grated cheese
- 5 eggs
- 3 cups milk
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
Method
- Trim crust from 6 slices of bread.
- Butter bread and cut into strips.
- Line large casserole dish with bread.
- Brown 1 lb. sausage.
- Drain well on paper towel.
- Spread over bread.
- Grate cheese, sprinkle over sausage.
- Beat eggs with milk, salt, pepper, and dry mustard.
- Pour over sausage mixture.
- Let sit in refrigerator 8 hours at least before cooking.
- Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
- Can be frozen after setting for 8 hours. before cooking.
