Ingredients
- 1 bunch broccoli, cut in bite size pieces
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 c. milk
Method
- Melt margarine in
- 3-quart
- saucepan.
- Saute
- broccoli, onion and garlic until tender.
- Blend
- in
- flour,
- mustard and salt. Gradually add milk and broth and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Reduce
- heat to low and blend in cheese, stirring until smooth.
- Do not let this boil. Makes 1 1/2 quarts.
