Ingredients

  • 1 c. Domino brownulated sugar
  • juice and grated rind of 1 navel orange
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 6 medium sweet potatoes or yams, parboiled, peeled and halved

Method

  • In large skillet, combine sugar, grated rind, orange juice and butter.
  • Heat, stirring occasionally, over moderate heat until blended and smooth.
  • Add potatoes and simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
  • Baste and turn potatoes occasionally to glaze evenly.
