Ingredients
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 c. butter
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 pkg. caramels
Method
- Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk in double boiler. Mix cake mix with butter and the rest of the evaporated milk. Spread half of dough into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes at 350°.
- After the 10 minutes, put chocolate chips over baked dough and follow with caramel mixture.
- Next, spread the rest of dough on top and bake 15 to 18 minutes at 350°. Refrigerate for 1 hour and cut into bars.
