Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3 c. cooked rice
  • 1 1/2 c. diced, cooked chicken
  • 1/2 c. shredded processed American cheese

Method

  • Combine peas, carrots, soup, water and milk in saucepan; bring to a boil.
  • Lower heat and simmer 3 minutes.
  • Spoon half of it into a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
  • Spoon rice over vegetables; mix. Layer chicken over rice.
  • Sprinkle with salt.
  • Top with rest of vegetable mixture.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake 20 minutes at 350°.
