Ingredients
- 1/4 c. margarine or butter, softened
- 1 pkg. Cheddar cheese sauce mix
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. basil leaves (if desired)
- 8 oz. can Pillsbury refrigerated quick crescent dinner rolls
Method
- Heat oven to 375°.
- Combine first 3 ingredients.
- Separate crescent dough into 2 large rectangles.
- Firmly press perforations to seal.
- Cut each rectangle lengthwise into 3 long strips. Spread about 1/4 of cheese mixture over one strip.
- Place a second strip on top of first; spread with another 1/4 of cheese mixture. Place a third dough strip on top.
- Cut filled strip crosswise into 8 pieces.
- Repeat process with second large rectangle.
- Twist each strip; seal ends.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
- Makes 16 snacks.
