Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

Method

  • Grease 10 x 15-inch pan.
  • Cream margarine and sugar.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
  • Add the remaining ingredients except pie filling and mix well.
  • Reserve one cup and set aside.
  • Spread remaining mixture in pan.
  • Carefully spread can of cherry pie filling over dough.
  • Use reserved dough to randomly drop over cherries.
  • Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
  • Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
