Ingredients
- 1 c. margarine
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 1 can cherry pie filling
Method
- Grease 10 x 15-inch pan.
- Cream margarine and sugar.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
- Add the remaining ingredients except pie filling and mix well.
- Reserve one cup and set aside.
- Spread remaining mixture in pan.
- Carefully spread can of cherry pie filling over dough.
- Use reserved dough to randomly drop over cherries.
- Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
- Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
