Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2/3 c. margarine
  • 2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chocolate chips

Method

  • Mix flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
  • Add nuts and mix well.
  • Melt margarine in pan.
  • Remove from heat; add sugar and mix well.
  • Cool.
  • Add eggs and vanilla.
  • Add flour mixture, a small amount at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Turn into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes (approximately).
  • Cool in pan.
