Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Rind of 1 orange, grated
  • Pie crust for double crust pie

Method

  • Cook raisins in 1 1/2 c. water till tender (mix flour and sugar together stirring with fork for 1 minute).
  • Add in the sugar and flour mix slowly into raisins and cook till thickened.
  • Add in the lemon juice and orange rind and mix well.
  • Pour into unbaked pie shell and top with another crust or possibly criss cross pie crust strips.
  • Bake at 425 degrees for 10 min.
  • Reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake approximately 20 min longer or possibly till golden.
