Ingredients
- 1 c. coconut
- box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 stick butter
- 3 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
Method
- Mix coconut and pecans and press into a greased and floured 9 x 12-inch pan.
- Prepare cake mix as directed.
- Pour over coconut and pecan mixture.
- Melt butter and cream cheese.
- Add powdered sugar.
- Mix well and drop by tablespoons on top of cake batter. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour or when cracks form in center of cake.
- Do not overcook.
- No icing needed.
