Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb. eye roast
  • 6 carrots
  • 6 potatoes
  • 1/2 box Annie's dumplings
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. Gravy Master

Method

  • At 7 a.m., put beef, carrots and potatoes with salt, pepper and Gravy Master into 6-quart crock-pot and cover with water. Cook on high all day.
  • At 4:00 p.m., remove finished beef, potatoes and carrots.
  • Pour liquid through strainer into 6-quart saucepan.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Add dumplings; return to boil.
  • Reduce heat to simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring gently often.
