Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 lb. beef
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 small cans tomato sauce
  • 2 cans mild enchilada sauce
  • 12 corn or flour tortillas (soft)
  • 1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese

Method

  • Brown meat with oregano, salt and garlic in a separate saucepan.
  • Combine tomato sauce and enchilada sauce.
  • Dip tortillas in heated sauce.
  • Use 3 tortillas for bottom layer in greased 9 x 12-inch dish.
  • Put layer of meat, cheese and sauce, beginning with tortillas and ending with cheese and sauce.
  • Bake at 325° for 40 minutes.
