Ingredients
- 1 cup margarine, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 34 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces strawberry jam
Method
- With mixer, beat together margarine and cream cheese,.
- Add confectioners sugar, Beat until fluffy, scraping sides of bowl occasionally.
- Beat in the flour and vanilla until well blended.
- Cover and chill for about 1 hour or until easy to handle.
- Preheat oven to 350 f.
- On lightly floured surface, roll one-third of the dough to 1/8 inch thickness, Using 2-1/2 inch cookie cutters, cut into rounds.
- Place rounds on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Place level teaspoon of your favorite jam on one half of each round.
- Fold over other half, seal with tines of fork.
- Brush with milk.
- Bake 15 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Cool on wire rack.
- If desired drizzle with a Confectioner Sugar Icing.
