Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 34 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces strawberry jam

Method

  • With mixer, beat together margarine and cream cheese,.
  • Add confectioners sugar, Beat until fluffy, scraping sides of bowl occasionally.
  • Beat in the flour and vanilla until well blended.
  • Cover and chill for about 1 hour or until easy to handle.
  • Preheat oven to 350 f.
  • On lightly floured surface, roll one-third of the dough to 1/8 inch thickness, Using 2-1/2 inch cookie cutters, cut into rounds.
  • Place rounds on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Place level teaspoon of your favorite jam on one half of each round.
  • Fold over other half, seal with tines of fork.
  • Brush with milk.
  • Bake 15 minutes or until light golden brown.
  • Cool on wire rack.
  • If desired drizzle with a Confectioner Sugar Icing.
