Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 12 cup almonds, chopped
  • 12 cup shredded coconut
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 6 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 12 cup bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, combine the oats, almonds, coconut, sugar, salt and cocoa.
  • Stir well to blend.
  • In a small saucepan, warm the honey and oil over low heat, whisking occasionally.
  • Until the honey is loose.
  • Pour over the dry ingredients, and stir to combine well.
  • Spread the mixture evenly on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes, or until golden.
  • Stir halfway through the baking time.
  • Cool completely.
  • Add the chocolate and stir.
