Ingredients

  • 1 can cherries (unsweetened)
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple
  • 6 bananas, cut up
  • 1 Tbsp. red food coloring
  • 6 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3/4 c. nuts
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Drain juice from cherries and pineapple.
  • Add enough water to juice to make 2 cups.
  • In large pan, pour juice, salt, food coloring, cherries and pineapple; bring to a boil.
  • Mix sugar and cornstarch together.
  • Add to fruit little at a time, cooking until thick.
  • Add vanilla and cool.
