Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 to 2 c. pecans
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 c. cherry preserves
  • 2/3 c. apricot preserves
  • 2/3 c. pineapple preserves
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Method

  • Mix
  • dry
  • ingredients.
  • Mix
  • butter and eggs.
  • Mix soda with buttermilk.
  • Mix
  • all together.
  • Add preserves.
  • Fold in pecans. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan.
  • Bake at 325° for
  • 1/2 hours or until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Makes a large cake.
