Ingredients
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- garlic to taste
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pkg. wide egg noodles
- 1 (8 oz.) can drained mushrooms
- cream of chicken or mushroom soup, undiluted
- 8 oz. sour cream
Method
- Brown meat and drain.
- Stir in onion, butter, garlic, flour, salt, pepper and mushrooms.
- Cook 5 minutes.
- Stir in soup with 1/2 can milk.
- Simmer, uncovered, until onions are cooked through. Stir in sour cream and heat through.
- Cook egg noodles according to directions.
- Pour stroganoff over noodles.
- Stroganoff can also be served with white rice.
