Ingredients

  • 12 fluid ounces hot brewed espresso
  • 12 fluid ounces half-and-half
  • 2 fluid ounces brandy
  • 2 fluid ounces amaretto liqueur
  • 1 fluid ounce vanilla extract
  • 4 teaspoons instant hot chocolate mix
  • 4 teaspoons white sugar
  • 4 teaspoons whipped cream, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chocolate shavings, or to taste

Method

  • Stir hot espresso, half-and-half, brandy, amaretto, vanilla extract, hot chocolate mix, and sugar together in a saucepan over medium-low heat until the sugar dissolves; cook at a simmer until hot, 2 to 3 minutes. Pour into 4 mugs and top each with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
