Ingredients
- 4 cups Whole Cranberries
- 4 cups Water
- 1/3 cups Sugar
Method
- Pick over cranberries first to remove any soft or rotted berries. Combine cranberries and water in a stainless steel saucepan, and bring to a boil.
- When you hear the skins on the berries start popping, start the timer for ten minutes and let the berries boil. Remove from heat.
- Strain the berries and water mixture through a colander lined with cheesecloth, reserving the liquid. Discard the pulp.
- Dump the water and juice back into the saucepan and bring back to a boil. When it's at a good rolling boil, add the sugar, and let boil for another two minutes.
- Let cool. This makes about a quart.
