- 1 3/4 c. all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. oil
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. blackberry jam
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
Method
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients (except pecans).
- When batter is smooth and sugar is dissolved, add pecans.
- Bake in two 9x9 pans for 40 minutes at 350°.
- (I line the bottom of pans with wax paper and grease and flour sides.)
