Ingredients

  • 2 c. butter
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 6 c. 3-minute oats
  • 1 c. chopped nuts or coconut

Method

  • Cream butter; add sugar and eggs and vanilla.
  • Beat well.
  • Add flour, salt and soda.
  • Add oats and nuts.
  • Mix well.
  • Dip with ice cream dipper (small one) or drop from spoon or may be rolled in waxed paper and put in refrigerator for 1 or 2 hours or overnight, then sliced.
  • Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in a 350°
  • oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
