Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 Egg
  • 4 tsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp BrownBrown sugar
  • 3/4 cup Whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp Double-acting baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Method

  • In medium mixing bowl combine Buttermilk, egg, oil, and sugar.
  • And beat until thoroughly combined; add remaining ingredients, stirring until smooth.
  • Spray 12-inch nonstick skillet or a griddle with nonstick cooking spray and heat over medium heat; using half of the batter, drop batter by heaping tablespoonfuls into skillet (or onto griddle), making 4 pancaks.
  • Cook until bottom is browned and bubbles apear on surface, about 3 minutes
  • using pancake turner, turn pancakes over and cook until otherside is browned.
  • Remvoe to serving plate and keep warm.
  • Using rmaining batter, repeat procedure, spraying pan with cooking spray and making 4 more pancakes.
