Ingredients
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. marshmallow pieces
- 3/4 c. peanut butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- In heavy saucepan, combine sugars, milk and butter. Cook until a soft ball forms in cold water (235°).
- Just before removing pan from heat, add remaining ingredients.
- Stir until marshmallows are almost melted.
- Remove from heat. Beat until mixture begins to thicken, about 1 minute.
- Pour immediately into buttered 8-inch square pan. When cool, cut into serving sized pieces.
- Yields 1 1/2 pounds.
