Ingredients
- 4 cups pear sliced
- 1 pie crust for bottom; strips for top
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
Method
- Spread softened butter over bottom of crust and sides of crust to prevent sogginess.
- Fill in with pears; sprinkling rest of mixture as you layer.
- Dot with 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees, then 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees.
