Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 3/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1 c. water
- 5 c. pecans
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3/4 Tbsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Toast pecans in a 200° oven until warm.
- Set aside.
- Cook sugar, corn syrup and water to 240°, then add pecans.
- Cook to 295°, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat.
- Add butter and stir until dissolved.
- Add soda and salt; stir vigorously.
- Pour out in butter greased pans.
- Spread as thinly as possible.
- Break into pieces when cooled.
