Ingredients

  • 1 (29 oz.) can pumpkin
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 3/4 c. chopped pecans

Method

  • Mix the first 5 ingredients until smooth.
  • Add milk and mix. Pour into ungreased 9 x 12-inch pan.
  • Sprinkle on dry cake mix over mixture.
  • Drizzle melted margarine on top.
  • Cover with pecans.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until set.
  • Serve with whipping cream or Cool Whip.
  • Serves a lot.
