Ingredients

  • 1 c. salad dressing
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. cake flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar

Method

  • Mix sugar and salad dressing in large bowl.
  • Dissolve soda in water.
  • Stir salt into flour and add to sugar mixture, a little at a time, alternating with water mixture.
  • Mix well.
  • Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and egg.
  • Mix well.
  • Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Bake at 375° until cake tests done.
