- 3 oz. softened cream cheese
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
- 2 c. cooked, cubed chicken or 2 (5 oz.) cans boned chicken
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. seasoned croutons, crushed
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 Tbsp. chopped pimento
- 1 Tbsp. chopped chives or onions
- 8 oz. can refrigerated crescent or Italian flavored crescent dinner rolls
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In medium bowl, blend the cream cheese and 2 tablespoons butter (reserve 1 tablespoon) until smooth.
- Add the next 6 ingredients.
- Mix well.
- Separate crescent dough into 4 rectangles; roll out to make twelve 3-inch squares.
- Place chicken mixture (approximately 2 tablespoons) on squares.
- Bring up sides and twist with melted butter.
- Sprinkle croutons on top.
- Place on cookie sheet and bake until brown.
