Ingredients

  • 3 oz. softened cream cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 c. cooked, cubed chicken or 2 (5 oz.) cans boned chicken
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. seasoned croutons, crushed
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped pimento
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped chives or onions
  • 8 oz. can refrigerated crescent or Italian flavored crescent dinner rolls

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In medium bowl, blend the cream cheese and 2 tablespoons butter (reserve 1 tablespoon) until smooth.
  • Add the next 6 ingredients.
  • Mix well.
  • Separate crescent dough into 4 rectangles; roll out to make twelve 3-inch squares.
  • Place chicken mixture (approximately 2 tablespoons) on squares.
  • Bring up sides and twist with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle croutons on top.
  • Place on cookie sheet and bake until brown.
