Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 (1 lb.) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • dash of pepper

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Saute onion in butter until golden. Blend in flour and seasonings; cook until bubbly. Remove from heat; add milk gradually. Bring to a boil and boil 1 minute (stir constantly). Remove from heat again and add corn and egg. Place in baking dish. Top with buttered crumbs. Bake for 25 minutes. Serves 4.
