Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound thinly sliced cooked ham; or possibly 1 can luncheon meat, thinly sliced
  • 1 chopped small onion
  • 4 to 6 thinly sliced, pared raw potatoes
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 c. grated process sharp American cheese (1/4 lb.)
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. catsup

Method

  • Start heating oven to 350 degrees.
  • In greased 1 1/2 or possibly 2 qt casserole, arrange ham.
  • Top with onion.
  • Then top with half of potatoes; sprinkle with half of flour, salt, pepper, cheese, repeat.
  • Meanwhile, heat lowfat milk with butter; pour over all.
  • Bake, covered 40 min.
  • Uncover, dot with catsup.
  • Bake 30 min or possibly till potatoes are tender.
  • (It curdles a little, but tastes so good!)
  • Makes 4 to 6 servings.
