Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz.) can corned beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 c. cabbage, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • water as needed

Method

  • In a large skillet, saute onion and corned beef together, breaking up meat as it cooks.
  • Add cabbage and cover.
  • Steam for a few minutes.
  • (Cabbage will have retained some water from having been washed.)
  • Stir occasionally, adding water to prevent sticking, until cabbage is done to your liking.
  • Add margarine, salt and pepper.
