Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. uncooked elbow macaroni (2 c.)
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Method

  • Cook beef in a large skillet until it loses its redness. Remove from skillet and cook macaroni, onion and green pepper in meat fat until macaroni is yellow.
  • Add meat back to skillet along with tomato sauce, water, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes or until macaroni is cooked. Makes 6 servings.
