Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. uncooked elbow macaroni (2 c.)
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Method
- Cook beef in a large skillet until it loses its redness. Remove from skillet and cook macaroni, onion and green pepper in meat fat until macaroni is yellow.
- Add meat back to skillet along with tomato sauce, water, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes or until macaroni is cooked. Makes 6 servings.
