Ingredients

  • 1 large Angel Food Cake
  • 3 small boxes Dream Whip
  • 2 envelopes plain gelatin
  • 1 C. pineapple juice
  • Angel Flake coconut
  • 1 c. crushed pineapple (drained well)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice

Method

  • Dissolve gelatin in 4 tbsp. cold water.
  • Add 1 c. boiling water.
  • Mix crushed pineapple and juice, sugar, salt and lemon juice.
  • Refrigerate to cool.
  • When it starts to jell, add 2 boxes (or envelopes) of Dream Whip (whipped according to directions on box).
  • Mix well.
  • Break cake into pieces 1 to 1 1/2 inches. Alternate in buttered (9 x 13 x 2 inch) baking dish with gelatin mixture.
  • Cool in refrigerator for a couple of hours.
  • Frost with 1 box whipped Dream Whip and sprinkle with coconut.
  • Refrigerate overnight.
