Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
Method
- Cream the shortening and sugar.
- Add the sour cream, eggs and vanilla.
- Sift dry ingredients together.
- Add to creamed mixture and chill overnight or in the freezer for several hours.
- Roll small portions out on lightly floured surface.
- Use cutters to make cutouts of your choice.
- Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 375° for 15 minutes.
- Cool.
- Frost with Buttercream Frosting and decorate. Makes 6 dozen.
