Ingredients

  • 1 c. white vinegar
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. cracked pepper
  • 1 lb. small white onions, peeled
  • 1/4 c. minced fresh dill
  • 1/2 c. olive or salad oil
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 lb. whole waxed beans
  • 1 lb. whole green beans
  • 1/4 lb. cherry tomatoes

Method

  • One or two days before serving:
  • In large stainless steel-lined saucepan, mix vinegar, oil, garlic, salt and pepper over medium heat.
  • Bring to boiling.
  • Lower heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes. Pour into 2-quart, shallow glass baking dish; cool completely.
