Ingredients
- 1 pkg. green split peas
- 6 carrots
- 1 onion
- salt and pepper
- dash of nutmeg
- 1 to 2 lb. short ribs
- 1 large (46 fl. oz.) can chicken broth
Method
- Put peas in pot.
- Cover with water and bring to a boil.
- Cover pot with lid; turn off burner on stove.
- Let peas sit for 1 hour. Drain peas and place peas back into pot.
- Cut up the carrots and onion; add to pot.
- Add salt, pepper and a dash of nutmeg.
- Pour the chicken broth into the pot.
