Ingredients
- 5 tablespoons tapioca
- 2 1/8 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon anise seeds
- 1 star anise
- 1 star anise
- 1 lemon zest
- 5 tablespoons sugar
Method
- Soak the tapioca for a few minutes in water seasoned with a pinch of salt.
- Combine the milk, anise, and lemon zest in a small saucepan and heat until boiling.
- Add the tapioca and sugar and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until the mix thickens (approximately 30 minutes).
- Allow the mix to cool and refrigerate until it is time to serve.
