- 2 cucumbers, peeled and seeds removed
- salt
- 3/4 c. plain yogurt
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1/2 clove garlic, crushed
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 3 sticks butter
- 2 c. warm water
- 4 pkg. yeast
- 2 c. milk
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 5 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- Cream butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time.
- Add vanilla, then add flour and knead to make a soft dough.
- Let rise and punch down.
- Let rise before baking on a cookie sheet (greased).
- Shape as a loaf.
- Bake at 350° until golden.
