Ingredients

  • 1 can (about 2 c.) French green beans, drained
  • 1 can (about 1 1/2 c.) shoe peg corn, drained
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 c. shredded mild Cheddar cheese
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 stack (about 30) Ritz crackers, crumbled (or similar crackers)

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix together the green beans, corn, soup, cheese and water chestnuts.
  • Put into a 2 quart casserole.
  • Combine the melted butter and cracker crumbs.
  • Mix well.
  • Sprinkle over casserole.
  • Bake for about 40 minutes.
  • Serves 10.
