- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 lb. chopped lean beef
- 1 can Del Monte tomato wedges (in tomato juice)
- 1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes (with chilies)
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 13 Tbsp. Lawry's chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. celery salt
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp. comino
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. water
Method
- In heavy iron pot saute onion and garlic in olive oil until golden.
- Add beef and brown thoroughly.
- Add all remaining ingredients.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer 3 hours. Remove bay leaf.
