Ingredients

  • 6 split chicken breasts, skinned and boned
  • 1/4 c. margarine, melted
  • 2 tsp. Mrs. Dash seasoned salt substitute
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 c. unsweetened pure apricot preserves

Method

  • Place chicken breasts in a baking dish and brush with melted margarine.
  • Sprinkle with seasoned salt substitute and garlic powder.
  • Cover and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
  • Drain the excess fat and juice from the chicken and brush the apricot jam on each piece of chicken with a pastry brush.
  • Return to the oven and bake an additional 15 minutes.
  • Serves 6. Contains 288 calories, 10.7 gm. fat, 73 mg. cholesterol, 142 mg. sodium and 270 mg. potassium per serving.
