Ingredients

  • 2 lb. top round steak (3/4-inch thick)
  • 1 c. tomato juice or small can sauce
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 c. chopped parsley
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 pkg. wild rice
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • flour to coat steak

Method

  • Flatten steak thin; add flour, salt and pepper.
  • Cook rice according to package directions.
  • Saute onions and parsley in butter; add tomato juice.
  • Add sauce to rice.
  • Spoon rice mixture on meat; roll and tie.
  • Brown roll on top of stove in casserole dish.
  • Bake in 350° oven for 1 hour.
