Ingredients

  • 17 lb. flour
  • 1 1/2 large cakes yeast or 5 dry yeast
  • 3 Tbsp. salt

Method

  • Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  • Add to flour and salt.
  • Mix real good.
  • (You may need to add more water.)
  • Cover with cloth, plastic and blanket.
  • Let raise real high and cut it into 1 1/2 pound balls.
  • Lay on cloth and cover for 30 minutes or more.
  • Then pound down.
  • Preheat oven to 500°.
  • Put into pans.
  • Stretch into round pans.
  • Prick top of bread with fork and glaze with milk. Put in oven until bottom is brown.
  • Then take off pan and put on top rack.
